Privacy Policy
The controller of your personal data is DE Management Group s.r.o., Klimentská 2066/19, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic (IČO 07345771, VAT CZ07345771, registered at the Municipal Court in Prague, C 299549).
What we process
- Your email address, which Stripe collects at checkout and passes to us with the order.
- Order details: Stripe’s session reference, amount, currency, the time of payment, and the record of your consent to immediate delivery.
- Your briefs and chat messages, meaning everything you type in the box and in the studio, including change requests.
- Your uploads: logos and images. We re-encode them when they arrive, which removes hidden metadata such as location.
- Websites you give us: the address, plus the page’s name, short description and theme colour, which we read from the page.
- Your films and every version: the video files, the voice-over and the soundtrack.
- Technical and security data: a salted, one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day and is stored with each film (we never store the IP address itself), and error logs that name the film concerned.
- Analytics events: steps such as “film made”, “film watched” and “download”, which parts of the page you click and how far you scroll, the referring website’s domain, and a random identifier that lives only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. We use no cookies and no advertising trackers. Besides our own records, these events go to PostHog (see below).
Why we use it
- To create and deliver your films.
- To process payment and give you your downloads and order details.
- To prevent abuse and fraud.
- To operate and improve WOMO.
- To answer support requests.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax.
The legal bases are: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in security, preventing abuse and improving WOMO; and our legal obligations.
Service providers
We send only the data each provider needs to deliver the service:
- Stripe, for payment, receipts and invoices. It handles your card details; we never see them.
- ElevenLabs, for the voice-over. It receives only the short voice-over lines WOMO writes for your film, not your uploads, website or email.
- Anthropic (Claude), which directs your film. It receives your brief, your change requests, the text we read from your website, and your logo and photos. It does not receive your email or payment details.
- Cloudflare, which runs the WOMO website and stores your uploads, your films and our records. It sees your IP address when you visit, like any web host.
- DigitalOcean ([region — Frankfurt, Germany unless changed at launch]), which runs the servers that make films. They receive your brief, uploads and the film’s plan for as long as it takes to make the film, then delete them.
- PostHog (EU cloud), for product analytics: the analytics events above, tied to the tab-only identifier. It stores no cookies in your browser, and we have set it not to keep IP addresses.
- Google Fonts, Fontshare and jsDelivr, which deliver fonts and code. When your browser loads these, they receive your IP address.
Apart from Anthropic, we don’t use any AI model providers. The music in films is WOMO’s own pre-made music, so no music service receives your data. Some providers may process data outside the EU; where they do, they rely on approved safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Films you didn’t buy are deleted automatically, with your brief, uploads and voice-over, about 7 days after they were made.
- Films you bought, with their brief and uploads, are kept for 24 months after purchase so you can download them again, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Order and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Analytics events contain no names or email addresses, and we keep them for as long as they’re useful for understanding how WOMO is used.
To delete a film earlier, write to hello@getwomo.com with its link.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it.
Write to hello@getwomo.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Czech Republic that’s the ÚOOÚ (uoou.gov.cz).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. For example, films can only be reached through unguessable links, and paid files only with a signed download key. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
WOMO is not intended for children under 16. You must be an adult to buy a film.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published here with its effective date.
